Topic

Design Direction – Simplicity over a Premium Appearance?

Problem

The Property Matchmaking App is intended for a broad range of home buyers, including users with limited technical experience. During discussions with stakeholders, it was identified that many target users are not familiar with complex digital interfaces and may feel overwhelmed by modern, feature-rich designs.

The primary objective of the application is to help users complete the property matching questionnaire and receive suitable recommendations with minimal effort. Therefore, usability and clarity are more important than creating a visually premium or sophisticated interface.

Options

1. Professional and Modern Design

A visually polished interface with rich graphics, advanced UI components.

2. Simple and Easy-to-Use Design

A clean, minimal interface focused on readability, straightforward navigation, and guiding users through one step at a time.

Decision

  1. Simple and Easy-to-Use Design

Reasoning

A simple interface lowers the learning curve for users who are less familiar with technology. By reducing visual complexity, users can focus on answering the questionnaire instead of figuring out how to use the application.
